Visitors to the 93rd College Royal Open House were in for a treat at the Chili Chow Down! Winners for the Chow Down are listed below.
Traditional Chili: Chili de Carne, Caribbean Catering Vegetarian Chili: Vegan Cherry Bomb, Hospitality Services Unique Chili: Pork Carnitas, The Wooly Pub Congrats to all!  Thought you missed your chance to participate in one of the many great events at College Royal this year? Don't be fooled!
We are still seeking participants for the Bubble Soccer Tournament, as well as the Visual Arts Show. Details for each of these events can be found below. Bubble Soccer Tournament Date: Saturday March 18th Time: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Details: Teams are required to have 5 - 6 people in order to be eligible to participate. Cost per team is $100. To register, please email rfiner@mail.uoguelph.ca Visual Arts Show Date: March 18th and 19th Time: All day Details: Entry forms must be submitted by Monday, March 13th. Art pieces can be dropped off in the College Royal Office (UC Rm 537) March 6th - 10th and 13th - 16th between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. We're getting very excited for the Guelph Santa Claus Parade! This year the parade is being held on Sunday, November 20th and will begin at 1:30p.m. More details on the parade route can be found here.
College Royal is proud to be maintaining tradition and is excited to participate in the parade again this year. Look for our officers and executive dressed up in their Christmas-best on our "Mooville" themed float. Hope to see you there! We're pleased to announce that the colours and theme for the 93rd College Royal have been chosen!
This year the theme will be "A Royal Night in Guelph" and our colours will be burgundy and silver. Keep an eye out for our officers and executive in burgundy jackets during Open House weekend. Anyone in a burgundy jacket will be happy to answer your questions and provide directions to make sure you have the best Open House experience possible! Fall sign-up days will be happening Thursday, October 13th and Friday, October 14th from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the University Centre.

See you then! The first elections meeting for the 2017 College Royal executive team will be held on Tuesday, September 20th at 5:30 p.m. in ANNU room 141.
There are over 80 different roles open to those interested in becoming a member of the 2017 College Royal team. Please visit the Executive Positions page for a full listing of positions and descriptions of the roles. If you are interested in running for a position on the executive, please send an email that includes your top three choices to colroyal@uoguelph.ca by Tuesday, September 20th at noon. This will give the officers an opportunity to organize the order of the elections to best accommodate the preferences of each applicant. All elections for livestock positions, dog show positions, and Old Mac's positions will be held first on September 20th. Elections for additional positions may also be held on September 20th if time permits. The remainder of the positions will be elected on Tuesday, September 27th and Tuesday, October 4th. If you are unable to attend the meeting for which your position is being elected, please send a short write up about yourself and why you would like the position and a member of the officer team will speak on your behalf. On Tuesday, September 13th, College Royal will be hosting an information meeting at 5:30p.m. in ANNU 141. If you are interested in learning more about how to become involved in College Royal this year, this meeting is for you!
