In 2018, our presenters included:
Dr. Matthew Vikaryous from the Ontario Veterinary College presented his research on geckos and other organisms. His presentation and research focused on these organism’s naturally evolved mechanisms of wound healing, regeneration and development.
Dr. Graham W. Taylor from the School of Engineering presented his research on the technology of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Bringing to light how AI is transforming work, leisure and other parts of our society, as well as the outlook of its impact over the next 10 years.
Dr. David M. Mutch from the Department of Human Health and Nutritional Sciences presented his research on nutrigenomics. Studying the link between gene expression and the development of obesity-related health issues.
Dr. Andria Joy from the Ontario Veterinary College presented on her experiences teaching veterinary medicine students with insights into the hands-on training at the Ontario Veterinary College. As well as the new clinical skills lab being built and its significance for future students and veterinary medicine.
